Foster-Miller Benefits

Foster-Miller realizes that it's not just the competitive wages that help us attract and keep "the best and brightest" employees; it's our comprehensive benefits package too.  From the basics of health and wellness to the extras that make life easier, we always strive to offer the best to our employees. Most benefits begin on the first day of work.  Benefits currently offered are summarized below and are subject to review and modification. Medical and Dental

Medical

Foster-Miller offers three different PPO plans through Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri.  The company offers a four-tier program and pays a portion of the premium for individual, individual and spouse, individual and child(ren), and family coverage.  For general information on this health care provider, please visit www.anthem.com.

Dental

Dental coverage is provided through Delta Dental of Virginia.  The company pays a portion of the premium for both individual and family coverage.  There is no annual deductible and there are no co-pays.  The plan pays 100 percent toward preventive, basic and major expenses up to an annual maximum of $1,500 per member. Medical Spending Account

Full-time employees can set aside up to a specified maximum per year on a pre-tax basis in order to cover medical expenses allowable under IRS guidelines.  For a complete list of eligible medical expenses, please reference Publication 502 at www.irs.gov.


Disability and Life Insurance Options

The following disability and life insurance benefits are also offered to employees:

  • Sick time
  • Short-term disability insurance
  • Long-term disability insurance
  • Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance
  • Supplemental life insurance

Retirement Planning

A 401(k) plan with a company match is offered that gives employees a variety of funds to choose from and the ability to defer up to 25 percent per year.  In addition, Foster-Miller offers a defined contribution plan designed to provide our employees with the opportunity to participate in the ownership and growth of the company by sharing a portion of its profits.
